PETER HITCHENS: We must defend these ‘rapists’ – or YOU will be locked up next

Our thanks to M for this.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  1. Great find Mike! We are quickly eliminating “presumption of innocence” everywhere in the first world and the process is accelerating. The vast majority of citizens are so incredibly stupid that they believe “if you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to fear.”

Peter Hitchens often picks out simple ‘core’ issues that underpin what passes for the best stab at something approaching democracy and thus the best that can be done by humans, who to be fair, are a very young species only just down out of the trees.
This particular article is a version of the ‘first they came for the Jews’ warning that though much repeated is only thus because it is so true.
Glad that Studio Brule appreciated it.

Peter Hitchins is always worth reading. I’ve been saying for a long time that when it comes to allegations of historic abuse, the complainant should expect to have to produce strong corroborative evidence ab initio. They should also expect to be disbelieved, insofar as everything they say should be questioned and tested, and their motivation should also be regarded as deeply suspect. They should also expect to be named and shamed if their allegations prove false, and they should be liable in damages.

You’re right cadbury cat, all these things SHOULD happen.
That they don’t shews how much the system has been corrupted by those with an agenda (‘a gender’? – I’ll work on it)
You”ll notice of course how many of those banged up have a high public profile, footballers, venerable bearded Australian comics etc. (whose main ‘crime’ in my view was to record a piece of sentimental kitsch about two little boys).
This is because the DPP realises full well that not all men can be locked up – yet -, so picks some well known figures to make examples of so that these rest of us get the message that we are undesirable criminals who are not living in a safe space for men.

      • cadburycat says:

Very often the dubious criminal allegation is a preliminary to the civil claim for compensation. A conviction reverses the burden of proof in civil proceedings.
Though he was the one who was guilty, I couldn’t help but notice that the allegations against Savile didn’t begin on his death, but upon the publication of the value of his estate. Then the no win no fee lawyer crawled out of the woodwork.

with every new concession to women, on gentlemen’s grounds, we are sliding into an oppressive, anti-men society. Men and their gentlemen’s mindsets extracted from Victorian era and supplanted into the workplace are 100% to blame. Women are only taking advantage of it. The joke is on men’s naivety and stupidity. It is men who need to change their act. Women will automatically, while unwillingly, adjust theirs accordingly. But not until men change their tack.
