Jeremy Corbyn states his support for Male Genital Mutilation

Our thanks to John for this piece in The Jewish Chronicle two months ago. An extract:

The meeting had been “the beginning of a conversation” between British Jews and the party, Mr Arkush said. A second meeting is planned for later this year.

Mr Corbyn said he was “looking forward to continuing that dialogue”.

“I am a lifelong campaigner against racism and fascism in all forms, and I made it clear that I am utterly opposed to antisemitism in any form, including denial of the Holocaust, from any part of the political spectrum.

“The Jewish community is a vibrant and much valued part of our diverse UK society, and I will continue to defend the right to religious freedom and practice, including specifically shechitah and the brit milah, [my emphasis] Jewish faith schools, and culturally sensitive youth and social care services.

Corbyn will evidently not defend the legal right of male minors not to have their genitals mutilated on non-therapeutic grounds. There must be fewer votes in that principled and humane position.

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.

  1. To go out of his way to endorse it. That is truly disgusting.

I can only imagine that if you really hate men, I mean, really really hate men, damaging them must be a source of vicarious pleasure.

Corbyn hates men, and damaging them as boys is a cowardly and egregious behaviour. What an indictment of moral cowardice and ethical bankruptcy.

I think it significant that he hides what he really means. Using terms obscure to most .

This is what happens when a society is based on a belief (or a lie ) that women are almost sacrosanct, (born good) and men are basically bad (born bad). This over-valuing women and under valuing men is one part of western culture that needs re-evaluation, re-thinking and reforming.. Constantly artificially propping up women, even when it is clear that they are not up to a number of tasks or duties, is ultimately futile, foolish, destructive to all.
This kind of thinking leads to labeling men’s sexual behavior as criminal, and portrays women as victims of it. How perverted !! Men must basically re-think the way they relate to and treat women across the board. Current status quo clearly does not work.

To be fair to Corbyn, perhaps unreasonably, I would point out that the Labour Party has frequently been accused of becoming aggressively ‘anti-Semitic’ under his leadership, and it also relies on the Mohammedan vote. So, whatever his real feelings on the matter, he’s in a bit of bind on this issue. Not that I am in any way sympathetic.
